Abstract Review Process

Initial Screening

  • All submitted abstracts will be initially screened for adherence to the submission guidelines, including compliance with the specified word limits and proper formatting.

Content Evaluation

  • Abstracts will be evaluated based on their relevance to the conference sub-themes, originality, and scientific rigor. Only abstracts presenting original research or systematic reviews with meta-analysis will be considered.

  • Narrative reviews, perspectives, letters to the editor, correspondence, commentary, and other types not based on original research will not be accepted.

Review Criteria

  • Abstracts will be reviewed for clarity of objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions. The significance of the findings and their implications for occupational and environmental health will also be considered.

Selection Decision

  • The organizing committee will determine whether an abstract is selected for an oral or poster presentation. The decision will be based on the quality and relevance of the research, and it will be final and non-negotiable.

Notification

  • Authors will be notified of the acceptance status of their abstracts, including the presentation format (oral or poster), by November 30, 2024.
